Delhi to Manali by road
| Distance | Driving time | Route |
|---|---|---|
| About 540 km | 12–13 hours | via Ambala, Ropar, Kiratpur, Bilaspur and Mandi |
The longest classic hill drive from Delhi. After Ambala we take the Ropar and Kiratpur road into the hills, then the new four-lane with tunnels past Bilaspur and Mandi, and finally the Beas valley through Kullu to Manali. Some groups drive through in one long day; others break the journey in Mandi or Kullu so nobody arrives exhausted.
