About the temple
Baba Balak Nath is worshipped across Himachal and Punjab. His shrine is a natural cave high on a hill at Deotsidh, around 45 km from Hamirpur town. Devotees offer rot, a sweet bread made of flour, sugar and ghee. By tradition, women take darshan from the viewing platform facing the cave.
The Chaitra mela in March and April is the busiest time, with very large crowds. Sundays are also busy all year.

Why go by Urbania
The last stretch to Deotsidh climbs through small hill roads. The Urbania's reclining seats and smooth ride make the trip easier for grandparents and small children, and the separate luggage space holds offerings, bags and bedding for a night halt.
